Screen video and image recording with regions and fullscreen support.
CloudApp is a freemium video and screen recording application that integrates with an online hosting service.
The main Internet of the application is quite pleasing to look at with all of its main features right square and center. The core functions of it are in the bottom panel and consist of screenshot, record, GIF, annotate and "more".
The additional actions that this screen recording application are screenshots of the full screen, upload to the cloud, delayed screenshots and record camera only.
In terms of video recording, CloudApp does a nice job at recording and saving what's been happening on your screen. You can select either fullscreen capture or select a region with the application. Once selected, click the record button and the program will start saving it as a video file.
Online sharing of video clips and screen captures
The cloud part of CloudApp comes in the form of online sharing and uploading of videos and screen captures taken with the application. And this is the part that isn't free and requires a subscription in order to take advantage of that.
Anyways, CloudApp is a very capable screen recording application but it's true that there are tons of freeware alternatives out there that do just as well... minus the web hosting that this program offers.
